For the first time, a group of leading Thai golf media have just returned from visiting the Vietnam city of Dalat.
Hosted by Bangkok based tour operator Golfasian, this Thai Media FAM trip were welcomed by several Dalat hotels, tourist attractions and golf courses during their four day trip.
With new direct flights with Thai Vietjet from Bangkok to Dalat, this region is actively keen to encourage Thai golfers and their families to experience the cooler temperatures that this famous Vietnamese region offers. Being over 1,500 meters above sea level the temperatures are much cooler all year round, and offers golfers a great experience.
The group including Thai TV crews and journalists, also played several golf courses in the region including Sam Tuyen Lam and Dalat 1200 Golf Resorts.
Golfasian CEO Mark Siegel said, “With several new golf courses now open and their quaint French style city, Dalat offers Thais a great opportunity to escape the summer heat of Bangkok. With direct 75 minute flights , Thais can now spend a few days in this quiet country region, famous for its green forests, fruit, the wonderful old French architecture and now several first class golf courses.
The potential is there and we expect to attract over 2,000 rounds of golf from international golf vacationers over the next twelve months.’
The Tee Off and Golf Story TV shows will be showing this region on air shortly, which the Dalat region will hope help to boost tourism from Thailand.
